thumb chenrezig As the Dalai Lama often points out, Buddhism is a practice of life, a path to refine and develop ourselves as human beings.  That refinement requires a genuine change of heart, and not just erudition or discipline of mind…. 

Bodhicitta, quite simply, is a heroic heart that never closes or withdraws in the face of suffering, whether our own or others'.  Bodhicitta is a crucible, because it can accommodate and refine into useful alloys all of the base forces and challenges confronting us."
